We use this in our pasture to monitor predator activity. The day pics are great. The night pictures have very short range and are often hard to make out what you're looking out. Is it a fox? Dog? A mange infested Coyote? Maybe it's a Chupicabra. Who knows. They glow from the flash and are often blurred. I'll just assume they're all ghosts and my pasture is haunted. To be fair this would make a decent game camera for feed plots, game trails, etc. It does take nice daytime pics.

Not for the fumbled fingered. The instruction booklet is not well written. However, once you figure everything out this little camera produces great images. I think it is well worth the money and recommend it.

Instead of using this as an actual trail cam we decided to use this in our garage as a motion detection recording device and so far it has been working great! Unfortunately we have had some vandalism of our vehicles in our driveway and this has been helping us to monitor the issue. The SD card was easy to install and this was relatively easy to connect to my computer to download the still pictures. My husband was able to mount this in our garage with no issues.Overall this is a solid unit at an affordable price. It has been great in assisting with our home surveillance!

Photos and videos great, easy to set up, good motion detection, temperature read 31 to 71 degrees over night when it was 28-34 degrees tops.

We have ours setup along the woodline just to see what's coming into our yard at night. There is a lot more animal traffic that we ever expected especially in the early morning hours.

This is my second trail camera over the last 2 years. I use them to capture videos and photos of the wildlife that visit my country home, like coyotes and deer. Not for hunting purposes, but because I love animals and I enjoy seeing who comes to visit during the night and who is eating the food I leave out for them. This camera does a really good job of capturing motion. There are multiple motion sensors pointed in different directions, which is why it never seems to miss anything. I'm running mine on 8 rechargeable AA batteries and they last for several weeks between charges. The image quality is not great. It's worse than my other, older, similar priced trail cam. The images and video clips, even in good daylight, look like they were taken with a 1997 webcam. But they do the job for seeing the animals that come and go.The camera has been reliable so far, over the last few weeks that I have used it. And again, it captures a lot more action than my older trail cam, thanks to its great motion sensor array.

Great value but not a true 16 MP camera as confirmed by the specs in the manual. It??s 16MP extrapolated, but uses a 5MP 1/2.5?? CMOS sensor, and has a lens is rated F=7.45 F/No=2.4 with a 55 degree field of view. Video and photos were in line with expectations for a 5MP camera (grainy, etc). However, they should be sufficient for most purposes. Additionally, it only supports up to 32 GB SD/SDHC cards (class 10+), but this is more than sufficient if you??re storing at its native 5MP resolution. It has a small screen for viewing footage in the field which is super handy, and it worked without a problem for the several months that I used it. It??s also IP66 water resistant, has a 0.3 second trigger, 120 degree motion detection up to 60 feet (more consistent at <45??), and records up to 1080P@24fps video (AVI) recordings, but I preferred the 720P at 30fps. It also does time laps. It??s powered by 8AA, which give it up to 6 months of standby power (depending on how active the camera is) and has an external 12v power input which requires at least 1A, and uses. 3.5 mm external and 1.35mm internal diameter connection. Note: this port will not recharge the batteries, even if rechargeable batteries are used as confirmed by the manual (page 11)It also lockable, has a tripod fittings, and comes with a strap which easily affixes the unit to a tree. Computer access is via an mini usb 2.0 connection, which is slow, especially if you??re transferring a lot of footage, but is just a minor inconvenience. In conclusion, I was not impressed by the sensor, or the quality of the pictures and video. However, they were more than suitable for my purposes, and for the price it??s a deal and offers great value. I used it several months in damp, wet, fall weather without any problems.
