Excellent picture quality, night or day. Now with solar panel you can mount where least expected. Mount it on a tree and look down at your entry, the solar will keep you from needed to get it down to charge it. Solar panel will need full sun; overcast or filter doesn't seem to be enough to charge. See picture for panel spec.

I already own two of there battery powerd cameras and when I saw the new solar panel version I had to get it. Its easy to connect just like the others (less than1min) and there app is really simple and works great. The best perk of this new camera is the solar panel! That means I'll never have to worry about charging it. Not that it's a huge issue since the other ones last 2 months before needing a charge. This is just what I needed to cover the front of my house now leaving no blind spots.

Set up is pretty straightforward and uses the adoricam app. This can be either downloaded on the google play store or apple store depending on which device you have. Setting up the camera with your Wi-Fi connection and the app is pretty straightforward. Once you pick The network you would like to connect to the app will instruct you to scan a QR code; once the connection is successful you can then mount the camera to any location you desire. I myself have it mounted In the front entrance of my carport to keep an eye on my Suspicious neighbors. Only difference with this model is that it comes with a solar panel. One thing that I found rather challenging About this newer version is the length of the cord connecting the solar panel to the camera. I found it to be very short for my application, At a length of over 8 feet I feel that this Should be a bit longer for people who want or need more space. The solar panel itself is made out of a thick plastic Which I believe will resist the elements without impeding the charging function.Other than the issue of cord length the camera functions well and allows me to receive push notifications on my phone when movement is detected within the area.Although the camera does come with the solar panel it does have an option to run it as a plain battery camera, I will probably do this seeing is the cord will not reach the roof In order to properly mount the camera inside the building, One thing that I would like to see Is the length of the solar panel cord to be longer, After all it is much better to have a longer cord then not have enough cord at all, other than that I am very satisfied with the camera and the build quality.
